The New Roman is a project I created to research typography and create a typeface based on a type of family. The family I used was my Dungeons and Dragons group’s High Seas campaign characters and based on the theme on found family. I performed in-depth research from both fiction and nonfiction sources for ideas and inspiration to personalize to create a customized typeface, and created a booklet to detail my process and results.
